The small town of Ćmielów in the Ostrowiec Świętokrzyski district is mostly famous for the production of the highest quality porcelain. The masterpieces from Ćmielów, which became especially popular in 60s of the 20th C., are in the collections of galleries in New York, Chicago, Paris, London, Berlin, Moscow, as well as many other major European cities.
The Interactive Museum of Porcelain was established in 2005, in the area of the former “Świt” Porcelain Factory. It is different from other sites of this type - beside a usual exhibition of sophisticated porcelain figures, the visitors can take part in the process of porcelain production, make their own porcelain work of art or watch how the professionals do it. Due to these attractions, it is definitely worth going there.
